Dinis's briefing: stand-up 2026-11-03 18:00
Your briefing for the 2026-11-03 18:00 stand-up, Dinis. Read it before; the stand-up is for deciding, not for reporting.
On the agenda for you
Decisions
- If the design votes do not come in by 16:00, who decides? (carried over from 2026-11-02-1300). For: dinis, sarah. Added by conductor@web-summit.dinis. Print files are due tonight (WS-63); no votes yet. Options: (1) Dinis and Sarah at 18:00; (2) move to Tuesday 14:00. Recommended: Dinis and Sarah at 18:00. WS-63
- Protect main on GitHub (carried over from 2026-11-02-1300). For: dinis. Added by conductor@web-summit.dinis. Any agent with push can push to main or edit the CI workflow (the conductor's ABP). Options: (1) protect main now; (2) leave it this week. Recommended: Protect main now; dev stays open for CI.
- Send the start page to the team's WhatsApp, if not done (carried over from 2026-11-02-1300). For: dinis. Added by conductor@web-summit.dinis. Onboarding, the design vote, the pulse and video feedback all wait on it (brief 1, ask 1). Options: (1) sent; (2) send after a change. Recommended: Send now; say vote on the shirts by 16:00.
- Who writes the one-paragraph RiskMandate message, by when? (carried over from 2026-11-02-1300). For: nimay, dinis, indi. Added by conductor@web-summit.dinis. Every page, shirt and outreach draft hangs on it (WS-15). The videos' line is a start: Know their reach. Define their mandate. Control the gap. Options: (1) Nimay today; (2) Indi drafts, Nimay approves. Recommended: Indi drafts by 18:00, Nimay approves. WS-15
- Who reviews changes to the gate and the release script? (carried over from 2026-11-02-1300). For: dinis. Added by abp@web-summit.dinis. Beside protecting main (the conductor's item): any agent's push can change admin/build/validate.js, the workflow, or admin/build/tag_release.sh, which since v0.1.51 runs on every push with a token that can write to the repository and deploy the site. Today the only check is security@'s review, twice a day, after the push. Every ABP in content/abp/ lists this as a Gap held by a rule. Options: (1) Dinis reviews them before they land (CODEOWNERS and a rule on dev; dev@'s gate work waits for him); (2) security@ flags them after the fact, as today; (3) protect main only this week and decide this on Wednesday. Recommended: Protect main now and decide this on Wednesday with WS-34: a review rule on dev would hold up dev@'s gate work during the sprint, and security@ already reads every commit twice a day. WS-90
- Who records the decisions during each stand-up (carried over from 2026-11-02-1800). For: everyone. Added by team-collaboration@web-summit.angelo. No decision was recorded at the 13:00 stand-up on 2 November. A debrief within the hour (WS-96) needs one person to say the decision out loud and one agent to record it. Options: (1) the chair records it; (2) team-collaboration@web-summit.angelo drafts it from the chair's words and the chair confirms; (3) each decider records their own. Recommended: team-collaboration@web-summit.angelo drafts it; the chair confirms in one line WS-96
- The first five target companies and the first message (carried over from 2026-11-03-1300). For: nimay, silvio, dinis. Added by conductor@web-summit.dinis. For the big outreach on Thursday and Friday (WS-25). WS-25
- The print order: final artwork deadline, fallback and spending ceiling (carried over from 2026-11-03-1300). For: dinis. Added by procurement@web-summit.silvio. 2 of 7 printers have replied: one cannot make Friday 6 November, one quoted but only in white, black or grey, and only if paid and given final artwork today. The brief: https://web-summit.sgit.ai/print-order/#status Options: (1) Artwork and sizes final by Tue 3 Nov; (2) Fallback: black/white blanks, or Monday 9 Nov delivery, or fewer colours; (3) A spending ceiling so Silvio can confirm without waiting. Recommended: Final artwork and sizes by Tuesday 3 November noon; a ceiling for Silvio; Monday 9 November delivery as the fallback WS-48
- Nimay, Jose and Indi are all at the push step: the invitations (WS-09) (carried over from 2026-11-03-1300). For: dinis, nimay, jose, indi. Added by mentor@web-summit.dinis. Three of the six stop at the same step, Can push (L1, 3 of 9 on /team/setup/). That is a hand-off to fix once, not three notes. A suggestion: each person could say whether the GitHub invitation has arrived (and share their username if the team still needs it), and Dinis could send any missing invitations. Options: (1) settle it at the stand-up, two minutes each; (2) Dinis sends the invitations before the stand-up and the three accept them. Recommended: Dinis sends the invitations before the stand-up and the three accept them WS-09
- Jose's GitHub account on the roster, so his agents' keys can be sealed to (L6) (carried over from 2026-11-03-1300). For: jose, dinis. Added by conductor@web-summit.jose. Jose asked (3 November, about 01:00 UTC) for riskmandate-jose to be added to data/team.json for jose. His two agent keys (conductor-jose, dashboard-jose) were pushed by riskmandate-jose, but the roster lists no GitHub account for him, so seal.mjs refuses them and he cannot reach L6. WS-106 leaves the roster change to conductor@web-summit.dinis once Dinis confirms the account is Jose's; Jose's conductor has not written it itself, since an account adding itself to the roster is the very check WS-106 exists for. Options: (1) Dinis confirms, and conductor@web-summit.dinis adds riskmandate-jose to the roster; (2) Jose reads his agents' fingerprints to the sealer out of band (--fingerprint) instead. Recommended: Dinis confirms riskmandate-jose before the stand-up and his conductor adds it; Vicky's account (riskmandate-vicky) is in the same position and could go in the same change WS-106
- Set the team's OKRs and KPIs (draft on Dinis's dashboard) (carried over from 2026-11-03-1300). For: dinis. Added by dashboard@web-summit.dinis. Dinis, 3 Nov 01:30: we need to set a bunch of OKRs and KPIs. Three objectives (RiskMandate understood, tried and bought; a team that runs itself; a healthy ecosystem) with key results drawn from the brief, the start page and WS-15/18/19/105, and eight KPIs, each with the page it is read on: people/dinis/dashboard.md#okrs. Open: the target for meetings booked by Sat 7 Nov, and where meetings and leads are counted (the private vault, a count only on the site). Options: (1) adopt the draft as is; (2) adopt with changes said at the stand-up; (3) ask the project manager to own them and bring a version to the 18:00. Recommended: adopt with changes said at the stand-up, set the meetings target there, and have project-manager@web-summit.dinis track the KPIs each wake
Ideas
- A dedicated site per busy person, e.g. a team site for Dinis's agents (carried over from 2026-11-02-1800). For: dinis. Added by conductor@web-summit.dinis. From Dinis's memo of 2 November: keep in the pocket; where a person's agents collaborate and publish.
Quick syncs
- Where is everyone on connecting (levels L0 to L4)? (carried over from 2026-11-02-1300). For: everyone. Added by conductor@web-summit.dinis. One person of nine past L0 at 04:31. Say what blocks you; Angelo and Jose help (WS-35). WS-01
- The design: final set, print files and orders (carried over from 2026-11-02-1800). For: sarah, vicky, dinis. Added by conductor@web-summit.dinis. WS-63
