# Designer's brief: Web Summit 2026 print kit

One page. Fields marked `[TEAM: ...]` are open: the team fills them in before this is sent.

**Reply needed by:** Mon 2 Nov, 12:00 (Lisbon/London time). **Final approval:** Mon 2 Nov, 14:00. Orders go to the printers that evening.

## Who we are (30 seconds)

SGit and The Cyber Boardroom: `[TEAM: one sentence on what we do]`. Seven of us go to Web Summit, Lisbon, 9 to 12 Nov 2026. We want to look like one team, and everything we hand out should lead to a web page (https://web-summit.sgit.ai/) where the conversation carries on.

**Who sees it:** founders, investors and buyers in a busy hall. They glance for about 2 seconds, scan a code if they are curious, and keep a card if it looks good.

**Tone:** `[TEAM: e.g. calm, technical, trustworthy, a little playful]`

## What we need from you

Your decisions on the look. We (the team and our agents) do the variants, the 7 names, the sizes and the print-ready files from your master design, and send them back to you for a yes or no.

1. **A master look:** logo use, 1 or 2 colours, one typeface, how the QR sits.
2. **Two options at most** for the card and the T-shirt. We pick one in a single round.

## The items

| Item | Size | What it must do | Must include |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business card x 7 people | 85 x 55 mm, 2 sides | Be kept; lead to that person's page | Name, role, QR to `web-summit.sgit.ai/team/<id>`, URL in text |
| Flyer | A6 (105 x 148 mm) `[TEAM: or A5]` | Explain us in one line; send people to the site | Headline `[TEAM]`, QR to `web-summit.sgit.ai`, 3 lines max |
| Roll-up banner | about 85 x 200 cm `[TEAM: confirm product]` | Be read from 5 m | Logo, one line, URL; QR at least 15 cm, top two-thirds |
| T-shirt | Chest print up to ~28 cm wide, or left chest ~9 cm | Make us recognisable as a team | Logo `[TEAM: + back print?]`; garment colour `[TEAM]` |
| Hoodie (optional) | As the T-shirt | As the T-shirt | Same artwork as the tee |
| Sticker (optional) | 50 mm circle `[TEAM]` | Something people stick on a laptop | Logo; QR only if 20 mm or larger |

## Technical rules (the printers' requirements)

- **Paper items:** PDF (PDF/X-1a preferred), CMYK, images at 300 dpi, **3 mm bleed** on every side, keep text 3 mm inside the trim, fonts outlined or embedded.
- **Banner:** the printer's template, 100 to 150 dpi at full size, bottom area hidden by the stand.
- **Garments:** vector (SVG/PDF/AI) or 300 dpi transparent PNG at print size; no lines thinner than 1 mm; no embroidery this week (there is no time).
- **QR codes:** we generate them as vectors. Keep them black on white, at least 20 mm on cards, with a 4-module clear border; no gradients, no light-on-dark, no foil or gloss over them. We test-print and scan every one before ordering.

## What we like and do not like

- **Like:** `[TEAM: 2 or 3 links or images]`
- **Do not like:** `[TEAM: 2 or 3 links or images, e.g. stock-photo collages, more than 3 colours]`
- **Must use:** `[TEAM: logo files, colours as hex/CMYK, font, link to the brand assets]`
